Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan was injured in a gun attack after being shot at by a gunman during a rally in Wazirabad on Thursday. The attack on Imran Khan’s convoy occurred as he led a massive protest to Islamabad calling for a snap election. According to reports, one person was killed in action.
When the gunshots are heard, Imran Khan’s convoy is moving through a sea of supporters, according to a video of the attack. As the gunshots continued, everyone on the container-mounted truck, such as Imran Khan, dodged in a try to save themselves. The video contains multiple gunshots, including one from an automatic rifle.
WHAT HAPPENED DURING THE WAZIRABAD RALLY?
Imran Khan and 4 others have been wounded when a gunman opened fire on the former Pakistan prime minister’s container-mounted truck during a rally in Wazirabad. Imran Khan, who suffered leg injuries, was hustled to Shaukat Khanum hospital, where he is undergoing surgery.
The incident occurred near Allahwala Chowk in Wazirabad, Punjab, during Khan’s long march to Islamabad demanding early elections.
Senator Faisal Javed, who’d been wounded when a bullet pierced his face, stated that one party worker was killed while another was gravely wounded during the attack.
